₱200 steak vs ₱2000 steak vs ₱9000 steak
Ano nga ba ang pinagkaiba? Tara tignan natin.
- Local ungraded beef:
Ito ang entry level steak! Ang steak na ‘to ang pinakapasok sa budget, bagay ito gawin sizzling plate na steak. Escobar’s Australian cattle na locally raised sa pinas ang ginagamit namin kaya special parin ang steak experience.
- USDA Choice
There are 3 classifications sa USDA meat grading, ang Select, Choice and Prime. Ang USDA meat grading is classified according sa level of marbling ng meat or sa amount ng intramuscular fats. Sa masmadaling salita, masma-marbling mas malambot ang steak! Dito sa Escobar’s we use USDA Choice Certified Angus Beef. In terms of price and taste, it’s hard to tell the difference between choice and prime kaya ito ang best CHOICE sa affordable premium steak experience mo.
- Japanese A5 Wagyu
Ito talaga derechuhin ko na! This is one of the best meats in the world, kung meat lover ka baka isa to sa bucket list mo. Wagyu is known for it’s extreme tenderness na tinatawag na melts in your mouth sa sobrang lambot but of of course the premium experience comes with a price, Japanese wagyu is also known as one of the most expensive meats in the world.
Reaction:
- Local ungraded beef
If you’re looking for a quick steak fix na budget friendly, this is the way to go! Pero what to expect? This is ungraded, every beef is different so hindi pare-pareho ang tenderness.
- USDA Choice
Ang sarap! Level up talaga talaga ‘to, USDA choice Certified Angus Beef nga pala ‘to patrons! Tenderness check, flavor check, price check din! Ito ang best choice kapag gusto mo ng premium experience na affordable parin.
Pero ano nga ba ang difference nito sa iba pang USDA graded meats?
According to usda.gov, merong 3 types ng USDA. 1st Select beef is very uniform in quality and normally leaner than the higher grades. It is fairly tender, but, because it has less marbling, it may lack some of the juiciness and flavor of the higher grades.
Choice beef is high quality, but has less marbling than Prime. Choice roasts and steaks from the loin and rib will be very tender, juicy, and flavorful and are suited for dry-heat cooking.
Prime beef is produced from young, well-fed beef cattle. It has abundant marbling (the amount of fat interspersed with lean meat), and is generally sold in restaurants and hotels.
Pero bakit choice lang ang Escobar’s? Bakit hindi prime? The reason is that USDA prime supplies and prices fluctuates and unsustainable. The controversial part is some retailers sinasabi nilang USDA prime ang binebenta nila pero choice grade lang talaga yun because it’s hard to tell the difference.
- A5 wagyu
Woooh, Grabe! Totoo nga ang chismis, melts in your mouth! Tenderness, flavor at ang overall experience CHECK NA CHECK! Actually there are different variants of Wagyu according sa prefecture and grading. According to Japan Meat Grading Association. The meat quality grade is divided from A5 to C1. Based on this criteria: Fat Marbling, Color of the meat, color of the fat, firmness and texture. Pero just like in USDA grading it’s even harder to tell the difference between A4 and A5.
